compu~fast

I am at my sister's house right now. My Internet is out and I will be getting a new carrier before it goes back on. I will also be changing my phone so I can have unlimited long distance! Yay...I'm finally leaving the '80s!

Fabric Softener

This morning it dawned on me why Jaren is either glued to me or pinging off the walls. I use the wrong fabric softener!! I use either Bounce or Snuggle. I was using Downy, but it is still soft and cuddly. What I should be using is CLING-FREE!!!

Randomness

Today was a happily, uneventful day. Well after I called my sister to find someone to jump off the van this morning so I could go to work, that is! My neighbor was home, but I try not to be the "helpless female" to someone who wants to be so "helpful." Instead Lejune called an elderly man whom I've never met and I had to remind him to start his car or the jump just won't work! Now,if only I can learn to operate my lawn mower! I'm sure it's shameful to own a nice riding mower and be clueless as to how to operate it. My 86 yr old neighbor uses a push mower on hers. Yes, she uses it! And her yard looks great. I don't know how to use a push mower either. I was never allowed...allergies. Anyway, I let someone borrow my mower and in return, they only had to keep my yard mowed. That system worked for over a year, but I guess they bought their own. Mine is under the carport if anyone wants to come by and mow for me...or show me how.

Oh! I forgot until I looked at the calendar at work....Saturday was my 20th Birthday!! I know you thought I was a bit older, but really; I'm just 20! It did take me a minute to realize what "HG BD 20" stood for! Why did I write it at work and not at home?? I don't know. Maybe dealing with 6 one year olds (and their parents, more likely) I need the reminder that I do have the Holy Ghost!

I haven't heard from Brianna today and she hasn't been home when I called. 8 years old and already too busy for me. I'm glad she's enjoying herself! Probably shopping with Grandma...she really knows how to shop!

A Brighter Day

Well a small part of Jaren's cling-on problem yesterday was simply that he had a fever. I didn't realize it until we were playing on the computer together. It was low-grade and I just let him sweat it out overnight. Of course he cried out alllllll night. But, hey, what parent really needs to sleep undisturbed all night? Not Super-mom, which, by-the-way, I am not! He was back to normal today. Thank You , Jesus!!!
Brianna called to let me know when she got to her daddy's right on time. She was excited to see her Grandma Lina and the dogs. Her Uncle Randy was still at work. I talked to her a few minutes at lunch time to let her know I was going to Tallahassee with Faye and give her a phone #. Then I called around 10 to let her know I was home. She was busy playing her new game with Grandma, waiting for Daddy to come home. She had to get off the phone quickly...she couldn't "concentrate and talk on the phone at the same time!" I feel the love!! But I really am glad she is doing so well! She almost backed out of going at the last minute and I had to almost make her go. That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do! I was a basket case all day Friday. Crying every time I turned around. Apparently, I turn around an awful lot! I couldn't talk to anyone about anything. Being quiet didn't help either! Today I only shed a few tears and was able to talk about her leaving and her last few days before she left! I hope all, or at least most of my tomorrows will be as good! At least this is only a few weeks, not forever! She is due back August 13! Greg plans to stay a few days then and Jaren will be able to stay at the hotel with him. That way if he needs to come home at 2:00 AM, he can. Rotten mamma's boy!
Today we went to Wal-mart(Quincy), the flea market, the Party Store, IHOP, Wal-mart(Tallahassee), and the Dollar Tree. I was a good girl and IHOP was my most expensive part of the day! Jaren only wanted some Spider man socks from the flea market and Superman stickers from the party store. I love when they are so easy to please! Now if only it will stay that way! It was good for us to be out and about today instead of sitting around thinking about how empty the house is without my Beautiful. I enjoyed just being with Faye and Keyonia (her daughter) and of course the "man" to supervise! Laughing and talking with a friend feels good even when your heart is breaking! A cheerful heart doeth good like a medicine...! One of my favorite verses. I like the kid's song that goes with it too!
Well, it is way past my bedtime. But, then again, I don't have to be at church until 1:30 for prayer! So nice! I'm looking forward to the great things God has in store for us!

The summer will end soon. Right??

My baby girl is gone now. She should be in/near Memphis about now, on her way to the "bootleg" of MO. They should get there around 8:30/9:00 CST. I've talked to her a few times today. Jaren keeps asking if we can "go pick up my 'siser' now. I need my 'siser'!" I need her too! Greg almost took Jaren too. Mamma's boy just ain't ready to be away from me for that long. He would be screaming for me before the night is over and it just wouldn't stop. He did spend all of yesterday with his daddy and stayed the night in the hotel. Brianna slept with me last night. When Greg came this morning to swap kids, Jaren was not a happy camper! I told Jaren he got to stay with daddy last night, now it's your sister's turn. It kinda worked, but he was glued to me all day at work. Nobody was dumb enough to try to send him to his own class! At home he is doing a little better, even eating a bit. I think I'll try eating as well...maybe a grilled cheese. Then it's off to webkinz world where I will take care of her pets for today...but she will be back on duty with them tomorrow! She made a new webkinz friend this week and is sooo excited about having "Keie" for a best friend!

Addicted...Who me?

Have you ever heard of Webkinz? One of my friends gave each of my kids one of these pets. Like so many of Brianna's dolls/pet, they have a code you can use on their website( www.webkinz.com ) so you can adopt a virtual pet. Well, Laura told me I would like this site as much as my kids. I knew I wouldn't really care as long as everything was appropriate. It is now 12:20 AM and I am still up so I can play games and get more kinzcash for their silly pets! (They do have to eat ya know!) I think this is more addictive than these blogs or EveryonesApostolic.com *sigh* I may need to take a computer fast if I don't straighten up soon!
It looks like only Brianna will be going to MO next week. I'm already going through withdrawal.

Duck...Duck...Goose!

Oh, how I wish I would have remembered to bring my camera to church tonight!! We didn't have a service. Instead it was "Family Night." You know; bring lots of food and somebody extra to eat it all. (How come my "extras" are always more kids? 3 this time!) I made chicken enchiladas, Brianna made chocolate cake and one of her friends made the corn. As the kids finished eating, they went outside to play in the backyard neighbor's yard (yes, with their consent. Thank you neighbors!!) while the grown-ups got to just fellowship. After clean up was done and most of the tables and chairs were put up, Bro. Robert brought all the kids inside and had them sit down so he could tell them a story. Even the adults stopped talking . I think we were all just so shocked at the kids sitting so still and quiet! It didn't take too long to realize he couldn't come up with a story, so several people took turns telling some. It was great; we just needed the campfire! But, with all the kids sitting in a semi-circle on the floor, someone got an idea. Lets play duck, duck, goose! Picture a large woman with double knee replacements (Not me...I heard that thought!) going around the circle...then running from the child...she made it...but couldn't sit down! Then the kids took over for awhile, and it was hysterical! But Robert couldn't stand being left out! He goosed someone and got caught, so next time he got me! I had been sitting innocently (really! I have witnesses!) by Sis Black and had to chase him around the circle a couple times and even through the circle...but I couldn't catch him! All those kids are my SS kids and none of them even tried to help me...they could have tripped him or something! My fault...I teach them that cheating is a sin. *sigh* The game went on for quite awhile before anyone bothered to look at a watch. The kids I brought were already an hour late getting home!!

Next Wednesday, we will start doing our SS during Bible Study and just have one big HBO (Holy Ghost Blowout) service on Sundays at 2:00. So if you ever find yourself in Chattahoochee........
Wed will also be Brianna and maybe Jaren's last service here until mid August. She ~maybe they~ will be going to MO to visit their daddy and grandma until school starts. I've never been without my kids. I don't know if I should cry or shout for joy to have a quiet house...nobody screaming in the night, not finding two extra bodies in my bed most mornings, no complaining about my cooking. Hmmm... Shout! No hugs and kisses, no contagious laughter, no precious babies....Cry....At least they're coming back!!!

I'll leave you with the song that's lifting my heart tonight. I haven't heard or thought about this one in years! I just suddenly started singing it when I was taking the other kids home:
Living He loved me. Dying He saved me.
Buried He carried my sins far away.
Rising He justified; freeing me forever.
One day He's coming back. Oh, glorious day!
